Summer Solstice Inspiration

It's the official change of season. Summer is here!!!! We sure hope that this will actually mean the long awaited presence of the sun will be felt here in the Pacific NW.  Today we are getting a late day glimpse of what's to come so I'm inspired to share a glimpse of the summer waiting right here at Found:

Throw on one of the many vintage aprons

Get off on the right foot by using a hamburger patty maker.  Such a simple thing, but so useful in making uniform burgers!

 

MMMMM Barbecue! Nothing says summer like the smell of the barbecue:

 

And then sidle up to this AMAZING farm table complete with pull out bins, and roll out some dough for an apple pie!

 

Pull out your favorite Robin's egg blue dishes

 

and your vintage serverware

 

stunning glassware

 

If there are any leftovers from your amazing summer feast, they might fit in this red hot storage tin

 

And if all else fails, and Mother Nature refuses to cooperate, load up your suitcase and go in search of the summer!

 

 

 

Tori Spelling & our very own beach balls

 
A few of you may have noticed that the blog has not been working quite right this week.  Oh technology.....rather stick to vintage.

Thanks to twitter I noticed this post, on Miss Tori Spellings Blog.  Some of you may know that she is a lover of vintage goodies. I think she really nailed it with these two posts about Mason Jars.  Here's what we have going on with some of ours, get it..... "Beach Balls"

 

   I have to agree with her that there are plenty of great ways to utilize them.  My personal favorite....the doily covered ones.  I'm always looking for new ways to re-purpose those old doilies. 

 

 

In addition to jars we have a number of vintage glass bottles that are great as vases or just group them as a collection.  Check out some cute ideas for these at Design Fabulous.
